The Indiana Independent Venue Alliance (IIVA) is a statewide nonprofit that protects, connects, and champions Indiana’s independent stages. Through advocacy, awareness, education and hardship relief we work to strengthen the business and cultural foundation of Indiana’s venues, promoters and festivals. Your donation helps sustain the people and places that make Indiana’s music scene possible.

What We Do

  • Combating anti-competitive and deceptive practices that threaten independent venues including which include ticketing, corporate influence and fair access to talent.

  • Advocating at the city, state, and national level for policies that support live music, small businesses and the creative economy.

  • Quantifying, measuring, and promoting the cultural and economic impact of live music across our state.

  • Providing education and resources for venue owners, promoters, and festival organizers.

  • Securing funding for statewide entertainment initiatives and multi-venue events which showcase local artists and drive community engagement.

  • Providing a backstop of emergency relief for venues facing hardships or unexpected financial challenges.
