Indiana Music Economy Sessions Coming to Muncie on Nov. 3

IIVA Partners With Indiana Music Alliance to Support Regional Music Industry Growth

The Indiana Independent Venue Alliance (IIVA) is proud to partner with the Indiana Music Alliance (IMA) in support of the upcoming Indiana Music Economy Sessions: Muncie, taking place Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.

Hosted by the Indiana Music Alliance, the event brings together musicians, independent venue operators, promoters, arts organizations, business leaders and community stakeholders to explore opportunities to strengthen Muncie's music industry and its contributions to the regional economy.

The Muncie gathering is part of a broader statewide initiative connecting music communities, identifying opportunities for collaboration and investment, and building a more sustainable music economy throughout Indiana.

Turning Musical Talent Into Economic Opportunity

The Muncie session, titled "From Talent to Industry: Music, Innovation and Opportunity," will focus on how the region can build upon its existing musical talent, creative businesses and cultural assets to generate new economic opportunities.

With continued investment in Muncie's downtown, Ball State University and the surrounding community, the conversation will explore how music can contribute to economic development, tourism, job creation and community identity.

Attendees will hear from local and regional stakeholders about what's working, where challenges remain and how greater collaboration can help turn Muncie's creative potential into long-term industry growth.

Supporting Indiana's Independent Music Community

As a partner in this initiative, IIVA recognizes the importance of bringing music industry professionals and community leaders together to discuss the economic and cultural value of live music.

Independent venues, promoters, artists and festivals play an essential role in Indiana's communities. Beyond presenting live performances, they attract visitors, support neighboring businesses, create jobs and contribute to the character and vitality of the places they call home.

These regional conversations provide an important opportunity to identify challenges, share ideas and strengthen the relationships needed to support a thriving independent music ecosystem.

IIVA encourages venue operators, promoters, musicians, arts organizations, business owners and community leaders throughout Muncie and East Central Indiana to attend and participate.
