Who We Are

The Indiana Independent Venue Alliance (IIVA) is an Indiana 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that empowers and preserves Indiana’s live music community through supporting grassroots concert venues, music festivals and live music promoters.

As small business owners, the IIVA community plays a critical role in our state’s music and culture economy. These cultural hubs are centerpieces of our neighborhoods.  As businesses they provide highly skilled jobs, contribute to the tax base and drive tourism dollars.

While members and venue owners drive our initiatives, our organization is governed by an independent Board of Directors which provides guidance and oversees all grant programs.

Thank You!

IIVA businesses were among the first to be closed during the current pandemic and were among the last to reopen.  The financial recovery process far exceeded opening the front doors. While most venues have reopened, many are still experiencing legacy hardships with staffing, increased costs of supplies and the financial recovery.

Thank you to the live music fans and our local, state and federal elected officials who banned together to pass the Save Our Stages Act. 2.1 million emails were sent to elected officials expressing their support for the Save Our Stages Act. All 535 Congresspeople heard from their constituents through SaveOurStages.com. We encourage you to tell your legislators you appreciate their support and for including independent venues and promoters in the latest COVID-19 Relief Bill.

Without your support and continued attention, we could not have accomplished this goal together!
